Bio

Stefanos T. Schultz (b. 1996) is a Greek American interdisciplinary artist born in Athens. They explore queerness, performative identity, and the isolation of digital landscapes through performance, sculpture, installation, and digital animation. Their work privileges the role of costuming, masking, and music as forms of comfort and collective lament.

Schultz exhibited their latest work, 27 (2023), as part of Aberrant Creativity International Exhibition: Unusual Partnerships Between Humans and Machines at the Arts Council of the Brazos Valley (Texas), and Moving Forward, the annual showcase by performing arts collective Performing Identities Across Culture (PICS). Schultz’s sculptural installation And…I’m Out! (2023) was commissioned by the KINDL Center for Contemporary Art (Berlin) as part of the 48h Neukölln Festival. They won first prize for “Best Aesthetics” at the Aberrant Creativity Exhibition (2024), and received Syracuse University’s Creative Opportunity Grant (2023), Memorial Scholarship (2024), Performing Identities Across Cultures Grant (2023), and TEACH Scholarship (2023).
